What is the difference
between the units?
The Bionic
Ear & Booster® and DetectEar® are monoural sound amplifiers that feature point to hear
technology. The microphone focuses on sound coming from the direction in
which it is pointed. The parabolic dish further pinpoints sound and reduces
background noise.
The CommandEar™
and Action Ear® Sport are stereo units that bring in stereo sounds
from a full 360 degrees. These units are hands free since the electronic
components are inside the headset.

How far can I hear with each
device?
All
units, except the DetectEar®,
can pick up sounds at 100 yards. The DetectEar® can pick up sounds at 300 yards. You will find all the devices more effective in quiet
environments and less effective in high noise environments which
"pollute" the air with sound. It also depends on the sound you are
trying to hear. A dog barking might be heard over 200 yards away while a
whisper might only be heard 50 yards away.
Can I hear
through walls?
No.
How does our product
differ from others on the market?
Our
products effectively use both ears for a completely natural sense of hearing.

Unlike
in-the-ear brands, our stereo sound amplifiers provide you with 360° sound direction, meaning
if you hear a sound behind you and to the left you will recognize where it's

Our unique design with our stereo amplifiers provide a very
comfortable fit. The velcro strap and back tension
band help to keep your sound amplifier in place without becoming too snug.
Unlike other
sound amplifiers on the market, ours all use low cost off-the-shelf
batteries. All controls, including the equalizer, can be easily adjusted
while wearing to suit your current situation.
All of our
products carry a one year warranty on parts and labor as long as they have
not been tampered with. After the first year, or if something has happened
during the first year which voids the warranty, we will still do repairs for
you. Our maximum charge is $53.00, unless the unit is damaged by battery acid
which would cost more.

Which is better
for hunting?
The
CommandEar™ and Action Ear® Sport are hands free units, give the best all around listening
ability and will not interfere with other items you might want to carry.
However, if you prefer the pin-point listening capabilities of the original
Bionic Ear®, we do sell elastic wrist
straps which will hold the microphone portion on your forearm to enable you
to free up your hands.
What does the
equalizer on the CommandEar™ and DetectEar® do?
It enables the wearer to easily select the tones needed for each
type of usage. We have found that using it makes it possible to tune out some
of the ambient noises that might be interfering with sounds you are trying to
hear. If your ears do not pick up a specific tone range as well as you would
like, adjusting the equalizer may bring these sounds into a more enjoyable
balance. For example if you want to hear high frequency noise such as a
turkey call or female voices, you can turn up the treble and pick up those
sounds.
Will rain or
snow affect it?
No,
unless you submerge it under water for a period of time.
If it needs to
be fixed, how long will it take?
Once
we receive your unit, it only stays in our manufacturing plant for 1-2 days, then we ship it back to you UPS Ground (3-5 working days).
