Client:
Large tree nursery in the upper Midwest.
Problem:
Our client wished to develop a computerized tree measurement and inventory system. They were taking a huge technological step in their industry. Because of this, the final design needed to be very user friendly.
Solution:
Lin Technologies developed a way to convert the mechanical movement of measuring jaws
into electronic information. Using an on-board computer and software of our design, we
were able to store detailed information quickly and easily, which is later downloaded into a
desktop computer running software of our design.
Result:
Our client gained national attention with their tree inventory and information system, and won a "New Product of the Year" award from an international trade group.
